Attention South Side Families:

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at South Side Area School District.  We greatly appreciate the added support our many dedicated volunteers provide to our schools and students.  The District has recently updated the Volunteer Policy which changes the requirements for our volunteers.

Starting the 2019-2020 school year, any adult applying for an unpaid position or serving as a classroom volunteer, must have clearances and these clearances must be renewed every sixty months (5 years). 

Prior to volunteering, a volunteer must complete and submit the following to their child’s school:  PA State Criminal History Report, Child Abuse History Clearance, FBI Criminal History Report or Affidavit.

PA State Criminal History Report and Child Abuse History Clearance ARE FREE. The FBI Criminal History Report requires registration online, fingerprints at various sites, and $22.60 using Service Code 1KG6XN.
